The Y Hotel

Who

Fofi and Babis Yfantis, owners of the Y HOTEL, decided to rebuild the old Best Western Caterina hotel immediately after acquiring the property. Their vision was the complete overhaul of the hotel’s image, the renovation and complete modernization of its infrastructure and rooms, in a bid to meet the contemporary hotel market requirements.

What

A&M ARCHITECTS undertook all design tasks and carried out the implementation of the owners’ vision, making the project one of the most successful collaborations of the A&M «Clients & Friends» section. Dealing with all required licenses and permits –urban planning, Archaeology Dept. and GNTO- to the final implementation and construction, Α&Μ provided all architectural and structural designs, the installation design, Interior & Graphics Design, in collaboration with the offices of Alekos Alexopoulos (Statics) and Alex Kamarinos (Electrical). The project was delivered in time, at a minimum cost for such a high quality work, something unprecedented by Greek standards.

In one of the most exclusive areas of the northern suburbs, Kefalari Kifissia, the Y HOTEL stands out from an architectural point of view, its strict lines adding a note of eclecticism and paying homage to the historical value of the area. Kefalari has acquired yet another top quality hotel with affordable luxury that is bound to become a universal attraction.

When

Within an unprecedented timeframe -by Greek standards- the hotel was closed for reconstruction in January 2009 and re-opened after 7 months, in August of the same year, thoroughly renovated and fully equipped, ready to welcome its old and new customers. Sporting a whole new image, the Υ HOTEL greeted its visitors, who were thrilled to enjoy the unique services of such an attractive boutique hotel.
