Who

The well-known group Hochtief AirPort GmbH undertook the project management and construction of the new terminal “Skycourt T2” at the Budapest Airport. The project was undertaken on behalf of the Budapest Airport and AHUK Airport Hungary Kft. Headed by Tima Zoltan, the airport was designed to serve 9 million passengers per year. The Hungarian construction company KÉSZ Plc. was responsible for the project’s construction. The airport’s commercial – catering spaces, with design specifications by Design Solutions, have been implemented by Α&Μ, on behalf of SSP Eastern Europe & Middle East.

What

Right from the start, A&M was actively involved in developing the new retail outlets – food services. Through our proposals we aimed at highlighting the building’s outstanding architecture, by offering unique architectural spaces based on innovative ideas. The A&M Project Management team, by applying rigorous project management standards, organised the selection process for contractors during all stages of the project's implementation. We also oversaw development on a daily basis, resolved problems which arose during construction and ensured the project’s completion within the deadline and budget, delivering a high-quality project to the passengers in Budapest.

Where

The project’s development took place in Hungary, at the new International Terminal Ferihegy T2, in Budapest. The new terminal is a new addition and integrates the two wings of the existing airport (Terminal 2A and 2Β). The full collaboration among Α&Μ, SSP Hungary, the Budapest Airport and construction company KÉSZ Plc., ensured that the construction of well-known catering establishments would be completed successfully within a very short time frame.
