The Nationale Life Insurance Bank was founded in 1863 offering pension, insurance and savings schemes. The Nationale-Nederlanden (ΝΝ) company was founded in 1963 following a merger between the company Nationale – a pioneer in life insurance services in the Netherlands- and the Netherlands Insurance Company, which was founded in 1845 and expanded to life insurance with the advent of the 20th century. The ΝΝ soon expanded, domestically as well as internationally, in countries like Canada and the United States. In 1991 the companies ΝΝ and ΝΜΒ Postbank merged under the Internationale Nederlanden (ING) brand name and within a decade the ING managed to become an international company. The Α&Μ office carried out the design and construction of the insurance service branches in Athens – Glyfada, Marousi, Halandri and Kalithea- as well as on the island of Rhodes. It has also carried out the design and construction of the mutual funds branches on Syngrou Ave. and Kifissias Ave.
